Seniors kicked off the week at Wedmore with their Monthly Stableford which produced a very close finish with 23 players at least playing to handicap.
Top of the pile was Dave Nelson who won division 2 with 40 points.
This put him 2 ahead of Roger Brafield who beat Mike Peacock on countback.
Paul Stevenson won division 1, beating Nick Parker on countback after both scored 39.
Jim Vearncombe, who had two birdie twos in his round, was a shot back in third.
There was an identical score in division 3 with Garry Stimpson beating Tony Ireland for first place after both scored 39 with Dennis Howard a point behind in third.
The Ladies played a greensomes on Thursday with pairs taking on the Captain and Professional, Gina Falcon and Liam Harper.
These came in with 36 points, a score bettered by none although 4 pairs equalled it and finished ahead on countback.
Debbie Monks and Janet Robson took first place on countback followed by Ruth Pearson and Val Webber, then Eileen Parnell and Deidre Wheadon and finally Janet Cornish and Linda Roberts.
