For once it was actually a fairly quiet week at Wedmore.
The Seniors competition was cancelled due to the heavy rain which flooded the greens on Monday.
The Ladies held their competition on Thursday but with a reduced field as many members were attending the funeral of much loved former Captain Maggs Willetts, a great supporter of the Ladies Section.
The remainder played a bowmaker in teams of three.
Clear winners were Ronnie Follenfant, Eunice Bond and Claire Walker.
They scored 78 points, including 40 on the difficult back nine, to finish 5 clear of runners-up Nicola Stevenson, Ali Mantell and Bev Broad.
Mandy Vearncombe, Lyn Bird and Mary-Lou Denny took third place on countback from Karen Clark, Diane Miller and Pam Berry after both scored 69.
There was no formal competition at the weekend but there is always a stableford on one day which this week was on Saturday and produced a close finish with Dave Bedford beating Paul Stevenson on countback after both scored 33.
Andrew Page-Dove was a shot behind in third place.
