This competition has been played since 1951 for parent and child combinations.
More than 36 pairs took part, a bigger than average field, attracting a high proportion of junior players.
The mum and son team of Bobby and Freddie Ferrari were on fine form, playing early doors and returned with an excellent nett score of 64.5. They were followed by another mum and son duo, Alison and Dan Whitewood, with a nett 68 and hot on their heels Nigel and James Browne with a nett 69.
