People in a North Somerset village enjoyed a flutter at the weekend to mark a football club’s 50th anniversary.
Villagers in Cleeve turned out to mark Cleeve West Town FC’s landmark occasion with a gaming night.
The event took place at the club’s pavilion, in Meeting House Lane, on Saturday. It saw people hedge their bets on a range of popular casino games, including roulette and blackjack.
It also included sponsored casino tables, a raffle and a barbecue throughout the afternoon to mark the end of the club’s 50th anniversary season.
The club held a number of events throughout the 2015/16 season, including a ‘vets and legends’ game, to celebrate the milestone.
