TWO Primary School Academy groups, hand-picked from the area's schools at various events over the past three months have been created.

TWO Primary School Academy groups, hand-picked from the area's schools at various events over the past three months have been created.

This is the first major growth of North Somerset Athletics Academy since its creation in 2005. The club have added an additional training group to include the extra 70 talented athletes that have been identified.

NSAA now boast 80 athletes in the training group that is now called Lightning Bolts, 80 Athletes in the training group that has been named Mini-Olympians and 70 athletes in the Secondary School training group.

Supported by a total of 22 coaches, NSAA assist the athletes in sprints, endurance, hurdles, jumps and throws, as well as educating on conditioning, and encouraging athletes to attend local clubs, and get involved in competitions. New performance kit for the new season demonstrates another development for NSAA, along with video analysis, specialist fitness challenges and conditioning programs.
