An aikido seminar held in Weston was taught by Larbi Sensei 6th Dan.
THE Rising Sun Aikido Group hosted an aikido seminar with Larbi Sensei 6th Dan Aikikai teaching.
Larbi Sensei flew in from Belgium to spend the weekend in Weston and is a direct student of Yamada Sensei 8th Dan. There was an excellent turnout with around 50 students aged between 12 and 60 from all over the south west attending.
The weekend began with Larbi Sensei presenting Paul Newnham with his 1st Dan certificate which has been ratified by the Hombu (the head of aikido worldwide).
All enjoyed the course, especially Allan Carchrie and Matt Bowen, who passed their 1st Dan gradings and will receive their certification in November, when Larbi Sensei returns.
