Lympsham Airways retained top spot of the Proper Job Midweek Cricket League after defeating Locking Castle.
LYMPSHAM Airways retained their lead at the top of the Proper Job Midweek Cricket League Division 1 with a comfortable win over Locking Castle.
The Airways scored 132-3 with J Gooding top scoring with 43, Craig Scrivens (34) and 33 from Jack Luff. Simon Cowgill then took 3-15, Ferns 2-10 and Gregory 2-9 as Locking were restricted to 92-8 with Del Pople making 29.
In Division 2, the Presidents recorded their first victory of the season with a narrow one wicket win over Belvedere. Tight bowling from Steve Price (3-13 off five overs), Steve Wilcox (3-21 off five overs) and Aaron Wilkinson whose four overs cost just 24, kept Belvederes total down to 120, despite 36 not out from Kevin Crockett.
Sam McCrea then bowled a miserly spell of 2-19, assisted by Sam Jennings (3-16), but Sam Neate hit 34 and CJ Neate 27 not out, to see the Presidents home.
