Alan Healey won the open match held at Shiplate Farm Fisheries, near Bleadon.
THE open match on the Main Lake at Shiplate Farm Fisheries attracted a wide range of anglers, which resulted in some good bags being weighed in from pegs all around the lake.
Alan Healey from Bristol fished peg one, alternating between fishing the pole down the right hand margin using meat and fishing the method using maggot to the jetty. This winning formula saw him weigh in 83lb and claim the match.
Results: Alan Healey P1, (PSV) 83lb; Tich Williams P7, (Veals) 72lb 10oz; Les Williams P12, (Shiplate) 45lb 8oz; Mark Radford P14, (PSV) 38lb 7oz; Tim Lewis P3, (Shiplate) 36lb; Alan Caswell P15, (PSV) 35lb 2oz. Silvers went to Roy Ede P5 (WAA) 23lb 12oz.
