ANDY Sweet hit the highest break of the season in his second frame against Roy Jenkins for Wrington Vale Snooker League leaders Triangle A.

Andy's run of 62 surpassed team-mate Dave Cryer's previous best of 54. Roy had won the previous frame for Cleeve Corners but that was the limit of their success as Triangles completed a 5-1 win.

Second placed Rovers fell a further point behind after the Young Ones restricted them to a 4-2 victory. Peelers continued their recent improved form with a 3-3 draw at Clevedon Conservatives B. Highlight was Peelers' skipper Andy Jones' 30 break in his victorious frame against Simon Cambridge which followed his win against Dave Crees. Mark Litson played well to take a frame off Steve Rees as did Simon Cambridge. Dave had a good victory over in-form Richard Powell who had earlier defeated Mark.

Backwell Lucky 13 and Clevedon Conservatives A also fought out a 3-3 draw with the home side falling 3-0 behind before coming back to secure the draw.

Reuben Hurse progressed into the semi-finals of the individual handicap competition with a comfortable win over Bob Selby.
