Anglers arriving at Shiplate Farm Fisheries managed to beat the floods for the latest match.
A FEW anglers paying their first visit to Shiplate Farm Fishery in Bleadon, must have expected to see the ark in the car park.
The roads were flooded and almost impassable, but the fishermen did not let water halfway up the wheels put them off getting to the match. The results were well earned considering the amount of fresh water that had topped up the lakes, with a second consecutive win for Andy Curry at the venue.
Results: Andy Curry (peg 7) 78.8 lbs Westpool; Des Shipp (peg 11) 67.8lbs, Westpool; Ziggy Slowinski (peg 3) 64.12lbs Westpool; Jason Radford (peg 15) 59.2lbs Westpool; Steve Kedge (peg 9) 35.4lbs Westpool; Dean Malin (peg 3) 25.14lbs Hawthorns; Tony Rixon (peg 13) 24lbs Westpool.
