The new series of Marlen's aquathlons started in Clevedon Marine Lake and along the seafront.
Forty-two competitors battled it out in Clevedon Marine Lake and along the seafront in the first of this year’s Marlens Aquathlons.
After a dry start, strong winds and rain challenged the entrants (and the marshals), but made for an exciting morning for everyone.
The winner of the sprint category, Matthew Cox, with a time of 33.04, set the course record. The next Aquathlon will be on June 4, online entries only. Marlens would like to thank everybody for their support.
Money raised from the Marlens Open Water Series (MOWS) will be used to maintain and manage Clevedon Marine Lake for all to enjoy.
