members of Ashcombe Park Bowling Club took an opportunity to visit Malaysia.
This was a holiday with bowling included, after the club was invited to play bowls by the Negeri Sembilan Lawn Bowls Association, playing two clubs in Seremban, the state capital.
The Malaysian club, known locally as Seremban 2, has two greens, both having an all-weather surface. A match was also arranged at Paroi, a bowls club for senior-age players, also in Seremban.
The holiday was based in a resort hotel in Port Dickson, on the west coast, just south of Kuala Lumpur. The time in Malaysia was also used to visit local areas including the city of Malacca, and the royal Seri Menanti Palace, made entirely of wood.
The group also met with the local people, and were invited as honoured guests to a wedding.
