Away point for the Seagulls
Weston picked up their second Blue Square South point of the season away at AFC Hornchurch.
AFC HORNCHURCH 0
IN a game dominated by defences, Weston picked up their second Blue Square South point of the season, but there was little good football to enthuse the 245-strong crowd at Bridge Avenue.
Unfortunately, there is little atmosphere in the ground as the playing pitch is surrounded by an athletics running track and the grass was on the long side, resulting in a bumpy surface, making ground play difficult for both sides.

The Hornchurch attack was best served by Lewis Smith who was just over from a 30-yard free kick in the opening minutes and later gave two easy saves to Weston keeper Lloyd Irish.
The home side’s best chance fell to Martin Tuohy who was put clear of the Weston defence by Smith, but his lob from the edge of the penalty area was off target.
Weston’s best effort fell to Jamie Price who had a low effort blocked by a packed defence in the first half.
Near the end, Smith forced a smart save from Irish and in five minutes of added on time, Hornchurch forced two corners, Irish turning Smith’s effort behind from the first and Tuohy wasting the second by firing over.
