Belvedere lost another top of the table clash, this time against Trull.

Belvedere made their first-ever visit to Trull in another top of the table clash and were comfortably beaten by a strong home side.

Trull batted first and soon lost Seward bowled by Kevin Crockett with the score on nine. This brought the prolific Clark to the crease and he and Blundell added 117 for the second wicket until Blundell (55) was run out following good work by CJ Neate.

That was the end of Belvedere`s success in the field as Clark and new partner Sapey took full control of the innings which closed on 291-2. Clark was unbeaten on an excellent and chanceless 164, bringing up his 500 league runs for the season already.

Belvedere’s bowlers suffered with the exception of Neate (0-36 off nine).

Belvedere suffered the early loss of Mike Hosey trapped in front by the impressive Heywood. Crockett and Nathan Hancock added 33 for the second wicket until Crockett fell for 29.

In a positive Belvedere response, only two players failed to reach double figures, but a big score evaded all. Neil Chadwick threatened briefly until he was out for 21.

At 133-7, it was left to All Stars Sports Bar man of the match Andy Platts (38 not out) to figure in an eighth wicket partnership of 37 with Brian Hosey (22) and a ninth wicket partnership of 27 with Jack Neville (12 not out) to lead Belvedere to a respectable 197-8.
