BELVEDERE’S poor form continued with a 10 wicket defeat at Temple Cloud.
Having won the toss, Belvedere chose to bat and it looked like a good decision as Jones and Cornish started positively.
With the score set on 32 Cornish drove a simple catch to gully for 12. This started a mini collapse as Jones soon followed bowled by Curtis for 18.
Crockett was bowled by the lively Hamblin, the first of his five wickets as Belvedere capitulated to the Hamblin/Perkins combination. Joe Gadd and Ashfield were soon both dismissed by Hamblin.
Perkins was soon in the action bowling Chadwick and Watts off the inside edge. Hosey was batting sensibly before Perkins took a superb caught and bowled to dismiss him.
Hamblin wrapped up the innings bowling McCrea and Letherby, who played a fine cameo innings leaving Broadhead not out.
In reply, Temple Cloud got home with ease without losing a wicket. After a lively opening spell from Cornish and McCrea, the Temple Cloud batsman both played in a positive manner driving well down the ground.
W-s-M Electricals man of the match went to James Letherby.
