AT the latest grading for the Budokan Backwell Judo Club, two 1st Dan Black Belts were awarded to James Ward (18) and Iain Bell (18) from Nailsea, the youngest senior black belts the club has awarded to date.
AT the latest grading for the Budokan Backwell Judo Club, two 1st Dan Black Belts were awarded to James Ward (18) and Iain Bell (18) from Nailsea, the youngest senior black belts the club has awarded to date.
Three Junior Black Belts were also awarded to James Marshall (15) from Bedminster, James Harrison (15) from Backwell and Alex Child (18) from Nailsea.
James Marshall has taken over the accolade of 'youngest Junior Black Belt awarded by the club at 15 years, three months and 19 days.
The judo club has been running in Backwell since 1986 and teach young people from the age of three years to adult. Currently they have over 100 members and twice a year hold technical A grading for all members., James Harrison and Alex Child.
