RADDYS went on their travels to Bath this week in the Somerset Darts Super League.

The match began evenly with both teams sharing the first four ties. Paul Griffiths and Chris Skeates the victors for Raddy’s, winning 3-2 and 3-1, respectively. But after this, the Weston boys turned up the heat. Terry Hayes won 3-1 followed by a dazzling display by Daz Paul who averaged 24.69, hit 10 tons and produced 14 and 15 dart legs.

However, this was surpassed by Bob Hadley, who managed an excellent 25.84 average in his win taking a 90 checkout on the way. Skipper Mike Harding also hit a healthy 22.22 in his win, before Dave Sheppard strolled to a 3-0 victory taking out a superb 141 check out to boot.

Bath then staged a mini comeback taking the last three games to leave the score after the singles 7-5 to Raddy’s.

As so often in the past, the Weston team thrived in the pairs, winning five out of the six matches. Winning pairs were T Hayes and D Paul 3-0, A McNally and D Sheppard 3-1, J Anderson and M Harding 3-2, N May and B Hadley 3-2, M Grose and debutant Sam Harris 3-2.

This completed an excellent away victory for Raddy’s with final legs score of 33-48 to Raddys. Man of the match went to the evergreen Bob Hadley for his great 25.84 average.

Captain Mike Harding heaped praise on his whole squad who supported each other admirably and he said: “This was like the Raddy’s of last year, this is the win we needed to get us going, I am proud of the whole team.”
