THERE are still a few vacancies for the Sunday Mixed Triples in the Weston Men’s Open Bowls tournament, which takes place at Clarence Park from June 24-30.

The triples, maximum entry for which is 60 teams, is one of the highlights of the tournament, with teams competing in two groups in a round-robin format of eight ends per round, guaranteeing them all four matches. Play-offs will decide the top four.

Prize-money is generous, with £300 for the winning team. The triples will be played on June 24, and closing date for entries is June 10.

Forms can be downloaded from www.westonbowlstournament.org or obtained from The Tournament Registrar, Clarence Bowling Club, Walliscote Road, Weston-super-Mare BS23 4BN. The registrar can be contacted on 01934 625404.
