Weston & District Skittle League held their presentation night at Batch Country Hotel.

THE Weston & District Skittle League held their presentation night at Batch Country Hotel.

Winners were – Division 1 winners: Rascals; runners-up: Worle Club. Division 2: Dropouts; Ginger Mingers. Division 3: Coach House A; Dab Hands. Division 4: Klinkerbelles; Uphill Steamers. Wooden Spoon: Earlybirds.

Hospital Cup – Division 1: Flintstones; Crown Inn. Division 2: Weston Legionaires; Crusaders. Division 3: Coach House B; Langford Rovers. Division 4: Klinkerbelles; Uphill Steamers.

Perkins Cup: Rascals; Flintstones; White Hart Humbles. Steve James Cup: Unionist A; Crown Inn.

Individual: Aaron Bray (Ginger Mingers); Dave Pearce (Unionist A). Highest score: Nick Parker (Rascals).

Pairs: Kevin and Dean Stock (Klinkerbelles); Cyril King and Andy Priddle (Klinkerbelles). Highest score: King and Priddle.

London Bridge: Davae Blackhurst (Unionist A); Phil Dean (Unionist A); Matt Thompson (Nelly’s Heroes).

Highest away averages: Nick Parker, Ashley Poole, James Orchard, Warren Main. Most away spares: Nick Parker, Nick Edmonds, John Harris, James Orchard, Dave Fairhurst.

Highest individual scores: Rob Lovell, Nigel Dunn, Alan Milsom, Brian Buffin. Team averages: Rascals; Dropouts; Coach House A; Klinkerbelles.

Special awardsfor highest inter-league scores: Nathan Millett, Paul Steer, Phil Hucker. The Courage Cup of Merit for Premises was awarded to the Ebdon Arms.

The Cyril Richardson Cup for best captain will be announced and presented at the annual meeting. The Bill Parsons Cup for long service to the league was awarded to John Robbins for playing for 60 years in the league and for the same team, the Prince of Wales.

The league wish to express its thanks to sponsors of the various cups, including Alvis Bros, Butcombe Brewery, RCH Brewery, Thatchers Cider, the Mike Richards family, the Cabot Bars, Steve James and Graham Wilcox.
