New boxing equipment was given to Weston Boxing Club through a community funding donation.
WESTON Boxing Club members were proud to show off new equipment, gloves, a bag on a stand and scales, which they bought through a community funding donation from Alliance Homes.
The essential equipment was needed to continue developing the boxers of the future, while many are getting ready for the forthcoming season.
The gym at Weston Youth Centre remains open Tuesday and Sundays (7pm) throughout the close season for any new budding boxers. For further details, contact 07786 371164.
Weston ABC female middlewieght boxer Coral Forde, aged 18, has been invited to a Great Britain training squad weekend on August 16-17.
The club holds its AGM tomorrow (Fri) at Weston St Johns (7pm), anybody welcome if they feel they have something fresh to bring to the club or wish to become volunteer members.
