A BRAIN-storming session is being organised by Winscombe Tennis Club to give members a chance to put forward ideas for the way they would like it to be developed in the future.

The committee has already discussed a number of suggestions and is holding the informal social gathering at 7.30pm next Wednesday evening (March 3) to allow everyone to have their say.

In a letter, members are told: "We would like to hear about your ideas whether they relate to the clubhouse, courts, floodlighting, coaching, social events or whatever is important to you as a member."

The club has a full diary of coaching, club and open tournaments plus a number of social events for the coming season, starting with "rusty rackets" coaching sessions on Thursday evenings until April 1, for people of all ages who either want to get back into the game or would like to give it a try for the first time.

While there are club sessions throughout the week, food is being laid on for players on the last Friday of each month right through to November. During the summer there are to be junior and junior-and-parent competitions.

The club, which has six courts, four floodlit, is again hosting the North Somerset ladies', men's and mixed doubles tournaments and the league's annual meeting.
