Burnham & Berrow Golf Club celebrated their 125th year with a successful and action-packed programme.

The 125th year at Burnham & Berrow Golf Club was a most successful and action-packed year, both on and off the golf course, which saw club captain Adrian Deakins and ladies’ captain, Pauline Thorogood, join forces and support five local groups/charities.

The principle groups to benefit were: The Burnham Area Rescue Boat; Back on Track; Berrow Village Play Area and Somewhere House (Somerset).

All five organisations joined forces at the famous links clubhouse where Adrian and Pauline, with the support of Justin Sargent, chief executive of the Somerset Community Foundation, were delighted to hand over cheques of £2,500 each to the organisations.

Adrian said: “It was nice it was to see the representatives from the organisations again, as they had joined the club on charity day last year. This really has rounded off a superb time in office for Pauline and I.”
