Burnham end with another fine win
Burnham Rugby Club finish their season in their best finish ever.
Burnham 19 pts Truro 3 pts
BURNHAM signed off their season with the required win to guarantee their position as the fourth best placed team in the league.
Couple that with six players being selected to train for the Somerset Saxons and to round it off, the Under-14s played in the winning team in the Somerset Super Six competition, proving how much Burnham have moved on.
Burnham started well enough, but resolute defence and missed opportunities kept the score sheet clean until the reliable hands of Blake secured perfect ball for the forwards, allowing Bryan Webb to peel off on the blindside and race over. Tim Piper added the extras.

Burnham again provided solid line-out ball, recycled twice before Vunipola switched play enabling Piper to brush through a tackle and cross the line.
With Truro having the benefit of the wind in the second half, the visitors reduced the lead with a penalty. After two successful penalty scrums, the ball was whipped out to Richard Muskett to cruise through the gap to complete the scoring.
