CLEVEDON'S Mini Series squad put up a good fight recently to take second place in the third gala of the series.

The side, sponsored by Bristol Hotspring Ltd, struggled with holiday availability, but turned in some excellent performances. Final points and positions were: Soundwell 211; Clevedon 177; Bristol Central 153; Bristol Penguins 145; Bristol North 101.

Lizzie Warnes (2), Guy Prideaux, Elliot Jenkins, Matt Bray, Kristian Lloyd, George Leaman and Bethan Clark all won individual Races. Finlay Smith (2), David Warnes (2), Joel Holdaway (2), George Leaman (3), Elliot Jenkins, Samuel Hodge, Nick Bray, Bethany Hodge, Bethan Clark, Abi Sudol, Lizzie Warnes, Guy Prideaux, Kritian Lloyd, Zack Holdaway and Matt Bray were all victorious in relays.

Lucy Barrat, Nick Bray (2), Emily Bushrod (2), Lucy Bushrod, Bethan Clark, Keziah Douglas, Olivis Goss, Holly Hancock (2), Bethany Hodge, Samuel Hodge, Zack Holdaway, George Leaman (2), Kristian Lloyd, Guy Prideaux (2), Finlay Smith, Abi Sudol, Emma Sudol, Ellie Varney (2), David Warnes and his sister Lizzie (2) all set new personal bests.

Meanwhile, the rest of the squad have been busy in open meets over the Easter period. The squad at the annual Avalon open meet gave Clevedon a third place finish in the rankings with numerous personal bests and exceptional results also came from the annual Weston Easter open meet at Hutton Moor.
