A busy Bank Holiday weekend saw lots of matches at the popular Shiplate Farm Fishery.

The hot weather made the water temperatures warm enough to see most of the fish through spawning, therefore the weekend was never going to be easy getting the fish to feed again so soon.

Fry’s also fished the Hawthorns: Ray Cooper (p9), 94lb 8oz; Pete Sivell (p1), 73lb 4oz; John Macey (p7), 69lb 4oz.

Sunday’s open katch on the Westpool: John Hawkins (p11), 90lb 14oz; Steve Howell (p7), 84lb 12oz; Julian Pinkett (p1), 67lb 2oz.
