Weston Wheelers enjoyed a challenging route to Bristol and back, including battling 25mph winds.

A CHALLENGING route devised by Ben tested Weston Wheelers and not just because of the 25mph winds.

The ride took the riders out through St Georges onto the A370 to Brockley Court, through Nailsea and Wraxall nto Failand. This took the group around Ashton Court and across the Clifton Suspension Bridge, dropping down to Hotwells and Spike Island over to Long Ashton and along the leafy Festival Way cycle path.

The next challenge was up Brockley Coombe and down the A38 past the airport, finally turning right at the Churchill lights to Banwell and home.

This week’s ride covered 55 miles climbing 2,600ft with an average speed of 14.2mph. Thanks go to Ben, Duncan, Jason, Andy, Paul and Dan.
