Weston easily beat North Somerset to finish their season on a high note.

WESTON played their last game at home against North Somerset in the Somerset Super Darts League.

With Weston sitting comfortably at the top of the division, they were looking to finish a good season off in style.

Paul Griffiths (22.72) was getting his money’s worth and making a game of it with his 4-3 victory, but North Somerset hit back straight away taking the next game 4-1.

Phil Mitchell (22.17) hit 12 tons in his 4-3 win and Ricky Harding followed this up in convincing style, burying his opponent 4-0 with a 28.83 average.

Meanwhile on board one, Ian Cope carried on his good season form with a 4-3 win and a 25.14 average. Mike Norton and Martin Vanedgemeister both won the next games 4-0 having a 23.77 average.

Another game was lost by Weston on board one, but Kelvin Hart (25.14) with another convincing 4-0 victory and George Turnbull (24.86) also winning 4-0.

Weston closed the emphatic victory off with Paul Tyler (22.32) and Gary Deakin (22.81) both winning 4-1 to make the final score 41-19 to Weston.

Man of the match went to Ricky Harding. KNC’s player of the season was a close run thing between Mike Norton, Ricky Harding and Kelvin Hart for top performances all season, but Norton took the honours.
