MARK Village Short Mat Bowls Club held their charity tournament in aid of SURE, (Somerset Unit for Radiotherapy Equipment) and is a charity for local people raising funds to help provide top class cancer diagnosis and treatment in Taunton.
This year, six teams of six people competed in triples, pairs and singles games to become the overall winning team.
In a close competition, this year’s winners were the team from Banwell, who received the trophy from Vicky Gordon, representing SURE.
Mark Village and SURE would like to thank everyone for their support on the day. Chairman John Shepherd will have pleasure presenting a cheque in excess of £400 to SURE.
