Charlie competing for GB in Belarus

Twenty-year-old Charlie Follett from Wrington is competing for GB as part of the modern pentathlon squad in Minsk, Belarus.

Ex-Backwell School pupil Charlie Follett, aged 20, is part of GB modern pentathlon squad currently competing in Minsk, Belarus in the Senior European Championships.

Before joining the GB squad in training at Bath University where she is currently studying psychology, Charlie, who lives in Wrington, trained with Backwell Swimming Club, North Somerset Athletic Club and Banwell Pony Club.

Charlie has also been selected to compete at the Junior World Championships later this year in the sport which consists of running, swimming, shooting, fencing and show jumping.
