Cheddar’s Les Phillips Cup match at Warminster Town was again postponed due to the weather.
Cheddar’s attempt to play their long-awaited Les Phillips Cup match at Warminster Town last Saturday again fell foul of the weather, with postponement putting paid to manager Jared Greenhalgh’s travel plans.
The match is now scheduled to take place at Warminster’s Weymouth Street ground, this Saturday and the winners on the day will have the carrot of a home tie with Cribbs FC from the Toolstation League Premier Division.
Cheddar face seven, possibly eight games (should they progress in the league cup) inside the next four weeks, and additionally have the hurdle of four home league games in that period, starting with the visit of Portishead Town on Tuesday (7.45pm).
