Cheddar Tennis Club held a fun tournament last Saturday, mindful of the tragic events unfolding in Ukraine, with the aim of raising money for a charity donation.
Playing in doubles pairings with a round robin format of timed games, fast and furious matches took place over the course of the afternoon.
Tea and homemade cakes were enjoyed in the warm sunshine before Mike Neslen the tournament organiser announced the results.
Easter eggs were presented to runners up Georgie Syed and partner Lucas and to the overall winners Liz Collins and Ben.
The fundraising afternoon raised £340 which has been donated to the Disasters Emergency Committee Ukraine humanitarian appeal.
And a large box of toiletry items donated by club members was delivered by chairperson Sarah Strawbridge to a nearby collection point ready for transporting to the Ukraine/Poland border.
