Clarence`s topsy turvy start to the season continued in the Woodspring Short Mat League recently.

The first was a tight and hard-fought match against Mark Moor with a two-shot overall victory, which included a drawn rink which looked unlikely at the half way point with Mark Moor 8-1 to the good.

But Clarence's Sue Sweet and Jo Mannion skipped by Carol Edlin in an amazing fight back made it eight-all at the end.

Not to be outdone Mick Edlin and Tony Mannion with captain Bob Sweet came in with a 7-5 win and earn the team six League points.

S. Sweet, J. Mannion, C. Edlin, 8-8. M. Edlin, T. Mannion, B. Sweet, 7-5.

Clarence came up against Mark Village in the first game of the day and they were ripped apart losing by 20-shots.

Next up were Jon Loveridge and Ronnie Jones with Sweet who managed to take a 12-shot win taking a couple of points from the match.

Next up Kewstoke who showed no mercy as they took a 30-16 win.
