Motor racing driver Clayton Kingman is heading to the Anglesey Circuit in November to see out a rollercoaster year.

Weston-born motor racing driver Clayton Kingman will see out a rollercoaster year by heading to Anglesey Circuit on November 12-13 to take part in the Race of Remembrance.

Kingman will join 2015 class winners TWP Racing in their MX5-Parts backed Mazda MX5. He will join Will Earp, Andy Muirhead-Smith and Mission Motorsport beneficiary Gary Dunning, as they attempt to win the invitational class of the gruelling endurance event.

The Race of Remembrance in aid of Mission Motorsport is an event that Kingman is familiar with, having been due to compete last year, only for his budget to fall through last minute.

That did not stop him though and instead of competing on track, he cycled solo for the duration of the endurance race raising in excess of £1,500.

He said: “I have known the team at TWP Racing for sometime, but to say I was surprised when I got the call would be an understatement. I am delighted to join the team to compete alongside some of the most inspiring people I have met, and at such a remarkable and moving event.”

TWP Racing are a not for profit organisation who work with Glyndwr University to provide opportunities for their students to leave the class room and learn in a race environment.

Kingman will be hoping for a strong showing as he looks to put together a full campaign for next year.

The opportunity has been made possible following backing from car rally and adventure driving experience company Rico Rally, who create affordable driving experiences across Europe.

“As with everything I do, without my incredible sponsors I wouldn’t be racing. I am delighted to welcome the Rico Rally team onboard, who join my long standing and loyal partners APM Customs, Dick Lovett, The Racing Lab and Great Rads.”
