Clevedon Town 1Corby 3LUCKLESS Clevedon are rooted to the bottom of the British Gas Southern Premier League after defeat by second-placed Corby.The visitors took the lead on eight minutes when Joseph Francis was brought down in the penalty area and Stephen Diggin scored from the spot.Tom Billing and Pete Sheppard went close for Clevedon before Dean Brennan doubled Corby's advantage on 30 minutes before Jamal Easter reduced the arrears a minute later.A minute before the interval Francis restored Corby's two-goal advantage after Diggin's shot was blocked by Danny Greaves.Clevedon were thrown a life-line on 52 minutes when Corby keeper Mark Osborn was yellow carded for fouling Billing, but Osborn saved Billing's spot kick. As Corby dominated, Brennan and Steven Towers went close while Greaves saved well from substitute Leon Hibbert.
