CLEVEDON Town Under-18s completed a 1-0 win over Brislington to secure the Somerset Floodlight Youth Northern Division championship, with two games left to play.

The championship win will see Clevedon play next season's campaign in the Premier Section, in only Clevedon's second year in the league.

This season has seen Clevedon lose only one game in the league so far and reach the semi-final of the Zamaretto Youth Cup, only to lose 1-0 away to AFC Totten.

The season has seen several players recognised in their selection for Somerset FA Under-18s, Somerset Schools and Colleges Under-18s, also several players playing at senior level for Clevedon Town and Clevedon United.

The success of this season has been achieved by the behind the scenes hard work by manager Rick Adams, coaches Kev Hawkins and Colin Pollard who have clocked up many miles to scout for new players and run training, no doubt many more miles to do as they look for new players for next season.

Boys aged 16 to 18 and would like to play a really high standard of midweek football, please contact Pat O'Brien on 07765450391 for more details.
