THE mini tennis red coaching group at Cheddar took on an extra dimension as youngsters donned red noses for their weekly coaching session and then had great fun whacking them around the court. They may not fully have understood the significance of the occasion, but they certainly entered into it with great gusto.Junior coaching is in full swing on Fridays after school and on Saturday mornings until the end of term and then resumes on April 24. During the Easter holidays there will be a two-day tennis course at the club for both members and non-members on April 15 and 16, run by the club's professional coaches.Mini red tennis (4-7 years), 10-11.30am each day, �12 club members, �14 non-members; mini orange and green (8-10): noon-2pm, �16 members, �18 non-members; full court tennis, 2.30 to 4.30pm (Under-14s and Under-18s), members �16, non-members �18.The courses include skills coaching and the latest tennis techniques, with lots of fun drills and games to make the events thoroughly enjoyable. It's an ideal way to warm up for the summer season ahead and a good way to run off any Easter egg excesses.
