A colour belt grading was held at Hutton Moor by Mark Clough’s Tae Kwon Do Club.

Mark Clough’s Tae Kwon Do Club members took part in its recent colour belt grading.

The two-hour grading took place at Hutton Moor Leisure Centre, when impressive performances came from all of students ranging from first-time gradings through to more senior achievements.

During the physical grading, a number of colour belt students achieved successful passes, demonstrating traditional tae kwon do patterns, Korean theory, power breaking and physical demonstrations.

Instructor Paul Hooper 3rd Dan, said: “The examining board were really impressed by the students effort and determination”.

Grading is only a part of the martial art journey, the classes cover all aspects of self-protection as well as the law in regards to self-defence and our right to defend ourselves on the streets, in our homes or at the workplace.
