Lympsham enjoyed a comfortable victory at Glastonbury, chasing just 40 runs for victory.
LYMPSHAM travelled to a young Glastonbury side and skipper Jack Luff was invited to bowl on a good-looking pitch.
The visitors started strongly with openers Matt Mitchell (2-18) and Jack Luff (0-9) applying early pressure. The pressure took its toll with Mitchell getting the breakthrough and removing the dangerous opener.
This led to a Glastonbury collapse with Lympsham Concrete man of the match Sam Poole (5-3) ripping through the middle order with his spin. Adam Micklewright (2-3) came on to clear up the tail, along with a run out left the home side all out for just 40.
The visitors made hard work of the reply with Craig Scriven departing for 12. The struggle continued with Felix Granfield and Rich Ford falling quickly, the away side were left on 20-3.
Tom Gooding stabilised the innings before Poole was bowled. Mitchell delivered a few blows to see Lympsham home in the 10th over.
Lympsham host Huntspill and District on Saturday hoping for another comprehensive win.
