Congresbury Bowls Club will play host to a match with a difference later this month.

Fellow lawn bowls club Nailsea will visit on Sunday September 19 for a game of crown green bowls to raise money for Disability Bowls England.

Spectators are welcome to come along and watch the Crown Green Cup, with the bar open and refreshments available on the day.

Organiser Anthony Page said: "Crown green bowls is predominantly a northern sport, wheras lawn bowls is a southern sport, so playing the crown green game at a lawn bowls club is quite entertaining."
