Craig Phillips, the Avenue Tennis Club coach at Burnham, added several Somerset titles to his collection.
AVENUE Tennis Club coach, Craig Phillips has recently won the Somerset open men’s singles and doubles titles, together with Somerset closed men’s event.
Craig started learning to play tennis at the Avenue at the age of eight and has played for the county team for several years and has also won the Somerset open title for the last six years in a row.
Craig has passed all his tennis coaching qualifications up to LTA level 3 and is hoping to do his level 4 in the near future. Head coach Vinny Duddy said Craig played some fantastic tennis during the tournaments and surprised himself as his focus has been on doubles recently.
