Uphill Castle’s Big Bash returns on August 26.

UPHILL Castle is happy to announce that the Big Bash will return for its seventh year on August 26.

The 10 over-a-side cricket tournament will start at 10am with six local teams taking part in the quickest and most exciting forms of the game. All the excitement of the professional format will be seen at the Uphill ground, including the coloured kits, loud music and the now famous bright pink cricket ball.

The local teams this year are Uphill Castle, Weston, Belvedere, Saints, Dolphin and hoping to retain their trophy from last year, the Uphill Strugglers.

The day, sponsored by Kingfisher Lager, will also be compared and commentated by former ITV news and current Jack FM Bristol sports reporter Jed Pitman.

The fun and entertainment continues late into the night when two well-known bands will perform on the outdoor stage. The Moderations and Reoffender will entertain the spectators and followers at this free event.
