WINSCOMBE failed to build on last week's win at Knowle with a 101 home defeat to Brislington.Brislington got off to a steady start on what looked like a pretty good batting wicket before Ian Fraser caught and bowled Forrest for 25 with the score at 81.Isles came in and batted positively from the start adding 62 for the second wicket before Lee was well run out by Neil Pollard for 68.Winscombe's bowlers started to make Brislington work harder for their runs with debutant leg spinner Chris Bury bowling well as he took 3-56 all courtesy of stumpings by Dave Bailey.Brad Loveluck bowled well at the end of the innings taking 3-36, including the wicket of Isles for 67, as Brislington finished on 228-8 which looked around a par score. However, Winscombe in reply struggled again with the bat as they were quickly reduced to 33-4. From then on they could not get going despite a brisk 22 by Dave Bailey and a patient 31 by Brad Loveluck as Winscombe eventually were bowled out for 127, losing by 101 runs.
