Weston Croquet Club are holding several open days during May.
WESTON Croquet Club officially opened their summer season when the first hoop was run by Elsie Allen, the club centenarian member.
This year, Weston are entering two association and two golf croquet teams in the league and have a full summer program of events for all members.
The club is holding three open days to attract new members on May 13, 16 and 19 from 2pm. These days are an opportunity to try croquet with equipment supplied by the club free of charge.
Experienced playing members will be available to help and assist people in the basic rudiments of the game. Anyone wishing to join will be offered coaching by a Croquet Association qualified coach, again free of charge.
Further details are available from Doug Norfolk on 01934 812128 or Judith Hutton on 01934 512461.
