WESTON Aerobic Gymnastics put up an excellent performance at the grades competition held in Swansea. First time out for Dani Lintern proved to be successful when she got the highest score for her age group and achieved the excellent result of a full distinction, closely followed into second place by her team-mate and partner Matthew Saunders who gained a pass. Katrina Rose, who was at the highest level for her age group, also gained a pass, with a clean performance. Kirsty Harvey and Gemma Barnfield gained distinctions in their freestyle routines, but were unlucky to be referred in their set routines. All gymnasts had to perform both a compulsory set routine and a freestyle routine to music which still includes set elements. Dani had to perform at her best to gain a distinction in both pieces. Weston Aerobic Gymnastics will now be based full time at the Potteries Community Centre where they will shortly be able to offer many more sessions for those interested in training with this Gymmark recognised club. Anyone wishing join this child-friendly and welcoming gymnastics club, please phone Debbie Saunders 07779 802110.
