Weston Croquet Club lost their first match of the season, in the South West Federation League final.
WESTON Croquet Club completed their season in the final of the South West Federation Leagues Trophy against Abbey Glastonbury.
After holding a three-point lead at the lunchbreak, they lost the afternoon singles 6-3 resulting in a 10-10 draw at the end of full-time.
To obtain a definitive result to the match, a play-off doubles game was required which went 7-5 in Abbey’s favour.
This brought to an end Weston’s successful season, this match being the only one that saw them defeated.
