UPHILL Badminton Club had just one match this week, which was their A team against their B team and not surprisingly the A team won.

The A team of Paul Edwards, Becky Matthews, Mark Edwards, captain Nicky Mills, Matt Cole and Christy Langford all played well and never let any rubber go beyond straight games.

However, the B team of Ellie Jewel, Wai Cheung, Steph Hadley, Brian Hadley (captain), Ruth Harding and Rob Morray all produced some good badminton, before being well beaten.

This gives the A team a great start to the season, having won their first two matches by nine rubbers to nil and now sit at the top of the league with 22 points.
