Dominica wins national title

Local rider Dominica Rogan-Pfaff has won the National Novice Pony Club Eventing Championships in Cheshire.

DOMINICA Rogan-Pfaff, aged 14, has just won the National Novice Pony Club Eventing Championships in Cheshire after beating all the other riders from the rest of the UK and Ireland.

Eventing consists of all three disciplines and Dominica completed a good dressage test and the following day rode a clear round in the show jumping early in the morning. In the afternoon, she flew around the cross-country course to leave her the overall winner.

Dominica, who rides for the Weston Harriers, said that she was thrilled to bits. Her mother Christine Rogan said: “It was a long six-hour drive to get there, but it was well worth the trip and I’m very proud of my daughter as this is such a great achievement for someone her age.”
