Bristol Post Office angler Julian Pinkett won the latest open match at Shiplate Fisheries, near Bleadon.
OVERCAST, misty and drizzly conditions greeted the anglers for the open match fished on both the Hawthorns and Westpool canals at Shiplate Fisheries.
Once again, both lakes fished evenly with the top weights coming from the Westpool and second from the Hawthorns.
Top weight of the day was caught by Bristol Post Office angler Julian Pinkett (peg 6 Westpool). He fished the pole shallow using maggot, taking carp steadily throughout the, ending the day with 100lb 10oz. Second place went to Dave Cockayne (peg 6 Hawthorns) with 84lb 9oz.
