Dynamo Locking returned to winning ways with an excellent 4-1 victory at Hutton Reserves.

Hutton Res 1

Dynamo Locking 4

Dynamo Locking got back to winning ways with an emphatic midweek victory at Hutton.

Dynamo had control of the game from the start, and opened the scoring when Hutton failed to clear a corner. Joe Rowsell played the ball back into the box, and it was touched on by Matty Hollow to his brother Ben, who netted.

Good interplay from Joe Rowsell and Liam Page, saw Liam hit the bar with a shot and Matty Hollow was also unlucky to hit the bar.

Dynamo went 2-0 up when Rowsell played the ball to Matty Hollow and he finished calmly into the corner. Dynamo conceded a penalty to go 2-1 down. Locking hit back and went 3-1 up when Mitch Corrick found Matty Hollow out wide, and his cross floated over the keeper into the back of the net.

Dynamo completed the scoring when Rowsell set Liam Page through on goal, and he was fouled inside the box for a penalty and Matty Hollow completed his hat-trick from the spot.

The Raddy’s Cafe and Bar man of the match was awarded to Jon Rowsell.

Shipham 1

Dynamo Locking gained another point in their title challenge with a draw against Shipham.

Shipham had more of the ball, but were failing to string any passes together which made it easy for Shipham to defend. Dynamo took the lead through Matty Hollow following a Nick Crocker through ball.

Dynamo kept the upper hand in the second half, but squandered a number of chances to put the game beyond Shipham’s reach. Inevitably Shipham equalised with 10 minutes to go, when Dynamo failed to clear their lines.

The Raddy’s Cafe and Bar man of the match was awarded to Angus Lewis.

Locking Park 1

Weston Super Seagulls 3

Locking Park lost to local rivals Weston Super Seagulls in a physical midweek game.

It started well for Locking when on 15 minutes a corner from Ryan Harris made it through the Seagulls defence and was put into their own net to make it 1-0. But Locking conceded five minutes later when their defence failed to clear a stray ball and it was smashed home to make the scores even.

Seagulls made it 2-1 just before half-time after more defensive confusion, and the game was sealed in the second half after a Joe Pearson push gave the away team a penalty which they slotted away easily.

Coach House man of the match went to Daniel Windsor.

Winscombe Res 3

Locking Park 1

Locking Park made it two defeats in a row, going down 3-1 away to Winscombe Reserves.

Locking started promisingly with a chance by Jack Poole set up by Ryan Harris within two minutes, but Winscombe took the lead 15 minutes later after Locking keeper Jake Farrow made a save, but could not keep out the follow up. Winscombe scored again on the half-hour mark to go into the break 2-0 up.

Locking did not fare any better in the second half, but after a few tactical changes and another goal by Winscombe, Tom Rolls got a consolation on 80 minutes with a solo run and finish.
