Emil Watkins of Weston Swimming Club was awarded the most valuable player award at the South West water polo championships.

THE Amateur Swimming Association’s South West region academy water polo ladies team came fourth in the recently held inter-regional competition of Great Britain.

Held in Walsall, 10 teams competed in the event, which was won by the North West. Special mention goes to Emily Watkins of Weston Swimming Club’s water polo section, who was awarded the most valuable player award.

Weston continue to recruit new junior members into the water polo section, who train on Sunday evenings at Hutton Moor Leisure Centre, at 6pm.
